About RWAG

Rydens Way Action Group was set up specifically to give a voice to the local community about the Green that lays at the heart of your neighbourhood.

Residents for many years had taken for granted the free use of the Green for legal sports and pastimes. Indeed since construction of the Estate started in the 1930's there was use of this open space by the new residents.

We are fortunate to have the accounts of some residents who have lived in the homes since they were first  built. From these knowledgable residents we have learned that many generations of the same families have all used and cherished the Green for more than 70 years. It is the heart and lungs of our community, and RWAG plays an important role in protecting the Green for generations to come.

Everyone that lives in the Neighbourhood of Rydens Way is a member of RWAG, and the committee is there to help you to articulate your desires for the future of the Green.

Can you help us?

Do you have any photographs of the Green being used for legal sports and pastimes? These would be especially helpful if they cover the period from 1986 to 2006 .If you do, then please em-mail them to  rwag2007@btinternet.com 

If you used section 4 of the Green  between 1986 and 2006, would you be willing to write a statement that covers your use of the land? This type of evidence is important in supporting our current Village Green application. You don't have to be a current resident, you may have already moved away from the area.
