Who we are and what we do! We are a group of residents united in the desire to preserve Rydens Way Green in Old Woking. We see the continual disappearance of green spaces within Woking, which fall victim to building schemes which many people feel are inappropriate to the locality! The time has come for people to stand up and be counted. Apathy will not serve as a useful weapon. We have headed off one planning application by Lacey Simmons, with a massive petition aganist the proposal, and 115 letters of objection. Discussions about the future of Rydens Way should be open and transparent, and should fully involve the local residents. The green has been used by local residents for more than 70 years for legal sports and leisure, so let's keep it available for future generations. We have worked tirelessly and got the Village Green application to the stage where the registration authority have agreeed it should be put to public enquiry. We have excellent support from the local residents, councillors and the MP for Woking.
